Privacy Policy

What data do we collect?

Recollect does not sell any personal information, and does not collect or store your data on any server — there are no Recollect accounts and no Recollect servers. Everything the app does happens on your device.

To build your travel journal, Recollect reads (with your permission) from your Photos — including dates and locations — as well as your iCloud Shared Albums, Apple Music library, and Calendar. It analyzes your photos on your device, including grouping faces to show who you traveled with, and stores the results in a private database on your iPhone. None of this is uploaded to us.

To turn locations into place names and to play music, Recollect uses Apple Maps and Apple Music services. Those requests are handled by Apple under the privacy policy provided by Apple. Recollect uses no analytics, advertising, or tracking.

You can change Recollect's access to Photos, Music, and Calendar at any time in Settings, and delete the app to remove everything it created.

Policy Changes

We may update this privacy policy in the future. You can always view the most up-to-date policy on this page. We may also notify you of policy updates via App Store update release notes.

California Privacy Disclosures

Recollect does not collect, sell, or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Do Not Track. DNT is a browser setting that signals a website to disable tracking. Recollect does not track you and does not have the capability to respond to DNT signals.
